Fall Family Sessions in 2020

Since hugging is out in 2020, getting super close is easier with my macros lens. I use it a lot more often. I’ve also been slowing down and shooting more film in 2020. Colorful ektar is becoming a favorite. But this post is about mini sessions. I don’t shoot film for mini sessions because they are quick 15 minute session. You have to get a family (usually some kiddos) to feel comfortable enough for you to stick a camera in their face. There are a few kids who love getting their photo taken but for the most part people don’t love it.

So I always play at least two games and we make that 15-20 minute session go by super fast and super FUN! I have two young girls myself (9 and 6 now) and they sometimes will come along if I know it’ll make a certain kid feel more comfortable too. I have lots of fun tricks to capture their personality (which is my goal!).
